Watch out for the mud!

Nova and Liara were off play fighting in the grass when Nova noticed a feather stuck in a bush. He got up and approached it. Suddenly Liara hopped on him making him tumble into the bush. When her looked up again he saw the feather lazily drifting in the breeze. He scrambled out from under Liara and sprinted after it. Liara ran after him. Suddenly the feather was picked up by a gust of wind and was thrown forward, zipping through the sky. Nova was running as fast as he could, not aware of the huge pile of mud he was approaching at an alarming speed. Just then Liara gave a squeal of surprise as her paw slipped and she started sliding into the mud. She tried warning Nova, but it was to late. The next thing they new they were both covered in mud and the feather drifted into the horizon.

This is my entry to 's contest. 

The line art actually started as a sketch, but it was clean enough to for me to make it into the line art. I'm really happy with how it turned out, but I know it's not perfect so any constructive criticism would be amazing! This took me about 4-5 hours. I made it in two days which I think is a personal best.
